I grew up in D.C. and saw Link live once here. I was too young to prowl the downtown spots he played in the early days. Unfortunately all the shows he scheduled in the Washington area were cancelled in the years just before his death. I even had tickets to one of them. The story was his ex-wives were gonna get him, if he showed anywhere in the Washington-Baltimore area. I know nothing precise about any of this. But was told that story.
I wish I could attend in L.A. this year. It looks to be a great show. My first album – Jack the Ripper.
