Link Wray was way ahead of his time. He gave Rock n Roll balls, and the rest is history. Not to induct Link Wray is a travesty. Much like the Baseball HoF not allowing the induction of it’s most prolific hitter (Pette Rose), the validity of the Rock n Roll HoF suffers with the exclusion of this musical pioneer.

I saw Link and the Wraymen at the FAMOUS bar/grill in DC in 1961! Loved him then as well as now! He was the “original”! Let me be the 1st person in 2012 to plead for Links induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! He was the one who started it all folks.

His time a comming . LINK WRAY in the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame this is who it about people. their catching on to this guy. We are waiting for scobie aka linkwray band to get on the u-tube or facebook to show everybody why.These guys grew up around him, seeing him play inj the D.C. /Md. bar and taverns listening to him jam. This Baltimore/Washington band has got it going on.There soon to be heard . BE LISTENING !

Who labored as long as Link Wray on a guitar before a kid decided that guitar was going to be the choice? How many records do you have to own? How many people do you have to tell about Link? It’s crazy that he isn’t there. It’s a given fact – Link Wray is the American Guitar.

Wow! I almost seems to me that Link should have been one of the very first people inducted. If there ever was blatant evidence that the R&R HOF is a farce……this is it…..aside from Madonna and Run DMC. How can one of the inventors of the power cord not be in the HOF. Everyone in the HOF should feel embarrased that they are there and Link is not. That Jan guy who runs the thing is a yuppie tool. Mr. Wray deserves his due, but like some other folks have said….at this point the R&R HOF doesn’t deserve Link Wray!.

I just discovered “Rumble” at age 42 and I’m a pretty big music maven. How is it not more well known? I’m still trying to process the fact that this song was on the charts in 1958–it’s like looking at an old black and white newsreel and seeing someone talking on an iPhone.
